I tell you what - I am really having fun time with my Christmas present (sewing machine)!
I came across this brilliant idea on Pinterest, and when I clicked on it--it brought me to the Etsy Shop.
(So for all you no sewers out there.... you can buy it here)
But, I thought it looked like a fun starter project for me as I am still getting used to my machine!
I loved this toothbrush organizer for the simple fact that it keeps everything in a nice clean place. It is easy to yell ask the boys to grab their Toothbrush Wrap as they pack up to go to Grandmas every Thursday night! Yes you heard me right... My boys have a "Slumber Party" every Thursday night at G-mas!
The boys look forward to this night every week- as do Bryan and I! ;)
So let's get started on this awesome wrap shall we?
What you are going to need:
Washcloth
Matching Thread
Cotton Twill Ribbon
Straight Pins
Straight Pins
Place your washcloth as shown.
Fold the bottom part up. This part depends on your preference of how deep you want the pockets to be. My wrap measures down 8". Use straight pins to keep the pocket folded up in place.
Sew the pocket sides together. So finished it should look like one big pocket.
Now figure out how many pockets you want, measure, and pin to mark.
I did my wraps with three pockets. I measured from the left side in to 5"- and pinned/marked.
Then just sew a straight line up from that mark on the pocket.
Now from the left side of your wrap, measure 5" in and pin/mark.
Do the same, sew straight up the pocket.
Now we are all done with the pockets! Grab your Twill.
Flip your Wrap over. (Pocket side is facing down)
Cut a 19" piece of Twill.
Let 7" lay over the edge of your wrap as shown above.
Now sew that baby down. Right on the edge! Go back and forth to make sure it's not going anywhere!
Now see above that is where the other stitch is going to go! You want to line it up that stitch we already had sewn for one of the pockets.
This is what it will look like all done!
Roll it up.
Tie it and see how your twill ends lay.

Fold the end under
And Sew.
All Done!
Now add all your goods! Each of my boys have a different color Wrap!
(yes that is one of those nasty retainer cases! --eek. kind of makes me gag just lookin' at it! BUT it is safe and snug!)
And I think I may love this cute holder more than the Wraps! ;)
