5 Tips for Clear Skin

Let's talk skin for a minute. I had better skin in High School then I do now. What gives? I wish I had the answer to that. I do however have 5 tips to share on achieving clear skin. These have helped my face, and I hope they can help yours. No my face is not flawless in the least bit-but it is improving each day! Tip Time, here we go!

Get clear skin today
1. Washing your face morning and night. Currently I am using St. Ives Apricot Cleanser AM and PM with my Clarisonic. For moisturizer I am using St. Ives Timeless Skin. I have found that St. Ives is not harsh on my skin and totally fits my budget {super inexpensive} - I have done Dermalogica, Murad, Pro Active.. all have not worked on my skin. I feel like they were too harsh causing more breakouts.
2. Water, H2O. I have seen a huge improvement in my skin when I consume loads of water. {8-10 cups a day} Yes those bathroom trips are a pain..but the trade is so worth it. Keep a water with you at all times, soon you will be craving water- I promise! Not a big water drinker? I have a fix for that! This Infuse system is awesome! Fill it up with anything, let it flavor your water..and drink up!
It truly rocks…and we are loving the fun, yummy and refreshing "spa" water {as some may call it!}

3. Change that pillowcase! Yep, you heard me. Why? Well because you just washed your face {good job} and you want to keep that face fresh and clean...no yucky dirt stuff. So changing out your pillowcase every couple of days helps you out! Just trust me.

4. Exercise/Reduce Stress. I feel like these both do go hand in hand. I know for me exercise is a stress reducer. Maybe not everyone feels that way, but hey, works for me. Exercising even just 30 minutes a day will help you reduce that stress level, and drink more water-- hey hey! Now we are talking! I did participate in the Just Dance Just Sweat Dream Team 2014 ... which really helped kick start my exercise road ahead!

5. Eat better. Staying away from greasy foods and foods you know makes you break out {me- chocolate} will help your face keep clear. Eat more fruits, veggies and just make good decisions! With better food choices and that water kicking through your system...you are on the road to a fresh clean and clear face!

So there you go! My 5 tips...for Clear skin. Of course everyone's skin types are different. The tips above, if nothing else is just really what we should be trying to do all the time... clear skin goal - or not. But I have to say, they have truly helped me get back control of my face!

  1. I think you actually might be dulling your skin by exfoliating that much. Dulling will take your glow away, and have you looking older. Remember, having some 'sheen' or 'some bit of oil' (yucky but there is a scale of how much is ok/not ok) will illuminate your face and help you look younger. The other things are healthy habits for sure! Maybe try some 'replenishing' type wash...and try using an OTC illumination with your make-up routine (I have personally found this has made me go from drab n' dull to hello doll!).

  2. Your face always looks bright and beautiful Jen! Now I'm happy I know your secrets. The pillow case one is one I NEVER would have thought of! Daphne is fighting an acne problem, and I never gave that a thought. Thanks girl! PS-you look 21.

I triple dog dare you to comment...it would make my day!
