Problem Solved. No more "Santa" wrapping paper being bought over here---EVER!
My friend told me about this idea..and man is it a smart one! So easy..every year place the burlap sacks out under the Christmas tree for Santa to fill!
So simple...Trace the stencil of your kiddos initial you are making the bag for on the felt. Cut it out, fold up the burlap sack {I bought the sacks on Ebay} Cut the ribbon and attach that initial with a cute mini clothespin. This took me about 15 mins to complete....and I am in Love with how they sit all pretty under the tree!

Absolutely love that you leave the empty bags for Santa to fill! I've been making fabric gift bags for family and friends for years, but this adds magic to the idea! See my fabric gift bags (also known as Santa Sacks) here: http://organized31.blogspot.com/2012/11/fabric-gift-bags.html

That is a great idea. I do have some burlap bags, coffee bags that is. If I put them out Santa might sit on the couch and have a cup of brew and fall asleep.

Great idea and it brings back memories of my childhood. I was born in England and so some of our Christmas traditions hale back to there......when we were young, Santa didn't put gifts under the tree but in a pillowcase which was at the end of our beds (sort of a Victorian precursor to stockings?).
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea. You rock.
ReplyDeleteI think me and my 3 boys will decorate their burlap bags tonight for Santa!! Had 5 bags lying around!!! Such an awesome idea!!! They are excited.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
